About the CSS Text Shadow Generator
The text-shadow CSS property adds shadow effects to text. You can stack multiple shadows as a comma-separated list to create glow, outline, 3D, and neon effects. This generator lets you add as many layers as you need and copy the full CSS string instantly.
Properties you can control
- Horizontal offset — Positive moves the shadow right, negative moves it left.
- Vertical offset — Positive moves the shadow down, negative moves it up.
- Blur radius — 0 for a sharp copy, higher for a softer fade.
- Color — Any CSS color, including
rgba()for transparency. - Multi-layer — Stack layers for glow, outline, or layered 3D effects.

Frequently asked questions
How do I make a neon glow effect? Add 3-4 layers with the same bright color, increasing blur (e.g. 0px, 2px, 6px, 12px) — the layered blur creates a soft halo.
Can I create a text outline? Yes — use four layers with 0 blur, offset by 1px up/down/left/right. This simulates a stroke effect.
Why does my shadow look pixelated? A 0 blur produces a hard-edged copy of the text. Increase blur slightly for smoother edges.
